Good Luck! I probably disagree with your position on a lot of issues, but not your right to do what you think is your civic duty.

I WAS elected to a public office. The party I belong to voted for my appointment to our county's election board. It was unanimous. Unfortunately, the other party didn't much like me. I know what's in the voter roll and what the law says about it, and they decided they didn’t want me on the election board. They got their minions and NGOs together and manufactured a social media campaign for the benefit of the judge who was charged with the usually ministerial job of officially appointing me. By law, each party gets 2 seats on the board. They convinced the judge to deny my election and refuse to appoint me by accusing me of being an 'election denier', among other things. (They must not see the irony in that.) The judge never even bothered to talk to me, or the county party directly, this being a democrat controlled county and all. The wording of the law in my county doesn't have the word 'shall' in it, so there was no use in fighting it. In my county, the democrats apparently get to choose who the republican appointees are. I guess it's sorta like the Senate Blue Slip.

They think the same thing in SSS's county. I have two friends in that neighboring county who SHALL be appointed to the election board by their County Commissioners, who have been ordered to by the court to the tune of a $10,000 a day fine for every day they don't appoint them. But like good democrats in Fulton County and nationwide, they believe laws and court orders they don't like don't apply to them, only to everyone else. They are stalling and delaying, and the county appeals court is taking its time in making a ruling. So, the Republican Party does not have equal representation on the Fulton Board of Elections. Ho Hum. What else is new? I hope you get to serve if you are elected.

One reason that whitefailure will always defend Trump is that he’s a narcissist on the same level. If someone announces good news, immediately he has to turn around and make it about himself.

Granted this is not as bad as Trump. When the West Virginia guards person was shot, Trump talked about how he won West Virginia so convincingly. But inevitably, with both people, the conversation will come back to themselves.

And there’s also a hidden tell here. This guy lives in Georgia yet the local party wouldn’t come to his defense? It’s pretty bad when the George Republican Party thinks you’re so wacko that they don’t want to back you up.

I was referring to the "they" in: "they" decided "they" didn’t want me on the election board.

Now that I think about it, I realize that the people who didn't want you on the election board probably far outnumber the supporters of any single candidate for any office.

But it's a good definition and I'll keep it. Coming soon, when I have more time, a dedicated flock dictionary thread.
