Wiles is the daughter of Pat Summerall, the long-time NFL broadcaster with John Madden (and before that, the placekicker for the 1950s New York Giants). The man who conducted the interviews is writing a book on various White House chiefs of staff and did 11 interviews with her over a period of months. Wiles now claims that, while she made all the statements attributed to her, they were carefully edited to be most damaging to Trump and others and taken out of context.
