Just Because I Own a Couple of AI Related Companies

OK-just because I have mentioned in the investing threads that I own a couple of AI-related companies-Palantir and Blackstone (Data Center Development) does not mean that I have changed my mind about the existential dangers of Artificial Intelligence.

Eric Schmidt of Google fame has mentioned in a couple of talks that I have recently listened to about how it might be necessary to bomb Chinese data centers and such.

So, at least at this point-AI is still vulnerable to taking out the data centers-but maybe not for long if AI figures out that vulnerability and how to defend itself.

Not sure if Schmidt mentioned bombing data centers in this TED talk or not-but he does in various places. Anyway, at about 8 plus minutes he talks about when it might be necessary to "unplug" AI

I am also ready to stick pencils in my ears at how AI proponents continually throw out the throwaway line that AI will help us save the environment. Well, what do we know about AI and the environment. To even start with-we are forced to build massive land and electricity hogging data centers. My god, we are talking about building nuclear plants again just to feed AI. I am not a fan of nuclear power.
