Musk called Sen. Mark Kelly a traitor because of his strong support of Ukraine. I doubt that Kelly, a former Navy captain who flew 39 combat missions against Iraq, felt hurt by the remark.

Also, Twitter suffered a cyberattack today. The suspected culprit is a group of pro-Palestinian hackers. I wonder if the government will rehire the 130 cybersecurity experts that DOGE fired last week.

Actually Kelly is a moderate, especially on defense and border security. I’m not offended by the remark. I just think it’s ludicrous to question his patriotism.

DOGE thinks CISA can do its job with a bit smaller staff, augmented by AI. However, as the latest cyberattack shows, the bad guys are improving their skills. If the government reconsiders these firings, they should act fast before the analysts get higher paying jobs in the private sector.
