It struck me tonight that for years here we have been going spastic over every little Trump pronouncement,
Maybe we should try to understand the guy a little better and how he approaches deals and so forth.
After all he did write "The Art of the Deal" on the subject. I am guessing that few, if any, of us here have read the book. I know I haven't. I think I have it somewhere-but not sure where.
The Amazon site for the book says straight out:
>>>"'I like thinking big. I always have. To me it's very simple- If you're going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.' - Donald J. Trump"<<<
Might help save some people's nerves.

Heaven forbid that you learn about how he actually approaches deals from his perspective.

I've read The Art of the Deal. It was four or five years after I read it that I found out he had had it ghostwritten. Now, mind you, this is different than some guy following Mr. Trump around with a pen and paper (probably with tears in his eyes, saying "Sir, Sir"). This is a book written by a guy nobody knew at the time who had a few conversations with Trump and extrapolated from there. We have no way of knowing how much of that book is Trump and how much is Schwartz, because I don't trust either of them enough to know who's lying. But I know that I learned a hell of a lot more about Trump from reading How to Stand Up for your Rights and Win. That may be the book you want to read.Spock wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 7:16 pmI will put you down as a hard no then.Weyoun wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 7:01 pmOr maybe not

Yeah, right. This guy, Tony Schwartz was a nobody who just happened to get fame for himself by doing what every other left wing lunatic was doing in the summer of 2016: slamming Trump to left wing 'news' outlets. And pretty much every one of them has since been proven to be full of shit themselves. This is a book written by a guy nobody knew at the time who had a few conversations with Trump and extrapolated from there.
