This is why I have been arguing for more emphasis on state and local issues. We can make our neighborhoods better, by collecting books for a library for a recovery center, or staffing polls, or whatever you like. Take action rather than stewing in juices of anger and resentment.

I've always thought that for domestic policy, our choices for Congress, and by extension, for state and local positions, are more important than who is at the top.

I grant that with foreign relationships, the executive boss can have more effect on how the US is perceived by other nations.

I guess I am assuming, based on your history, that you prefer the democrat platform over the republican. Maybe I am assuming too much. All I am asking, based on your presentation of yourself as open-minded, that you look beneath the surface a little. I gave you an opportunity that you declined. I sometimes envy people who are comfortable floating on the surface, but I have seen things I can't unsee.
