FNGD Q4 - AND BACK TO MAYBE OLD FASHION STUFF

#1 Post by etaoin22 » Fri Sep 05, 2008 9:23 pm

B - A boy, or anyone else, who spends a lot of time reading a "Scott's Catalog" is most likely interested in this hobby.

G - Looking into a reference written by Rombauer and Rombauer Becker means you are likely doing this...

G: Roasting a chicken. Or poaching salmon. Or sauteeing onions. Or some such cooking thing.

B - Collecting Blades of Grass (or maybe Leaves of Grass?)

G - Cooking (did they write the Joy of Cooking?)

B Is, or was, the standard of all standard stamp collecting catalogs. Vast amount of world history one learns implicitly, and sometimes not so implicitly from the stamps.

G - The Joy of Cooking whichever edition is the one I used to dangerously assert that I could cook, back in the days.
