Bank holiday

CHristmas in July.

The Phillies have Christmas in July every year. This year, it dovetailed with the yearly IBEW tee shirt day (Cole Hamels). Other years, the giveaway has been some sort of bobblehead.

First time they've lost that Boonie & I can remember.

I know about bank holidays from reading all the Shoes books (Ballet Shoes, Theatre Shoes, etc.) when I was about 10. They were very British, irresistible, and in a neat row at the library.

By Noel Strepfield.

Strepfield ... how do you spell that?

(Joe Fox rolls his eyes.)

(And Kathleen Kelly spells it again.)

I love that movie!

I'm sure I would love the shoe books too.

Starting with the ballet shoes. But it's out of print.

I used to get them from the Free Library of Philadelphia - Lehigh Avenue and East Falls branches.

I always meant to go to the children's section at the FLP near TLAF and see if the Shoe books were there. But I kept forgetting every time Iwas there.

And the Betsy-Tacy books.

25th - must be Christmas.

In Punta Gorda they have a whole bunch of stuff that uses this phrase.
