List in order through the first movement of a symphony or a sonata, these elements:

1 - Coda
2 - Development
3 - First theme group
4 - Recapitulation
5 - Second theme group

The major point of the "classical" style as opposed to previous styles, was to present two complementary themes or theme groups one after the other, then play with them for a while. Very very simple idea in principle, can last half an hour or longer in practice.
