A small prayer is answered. I read the NY Times for the latest news, just in case we might be asked.... Among the more recent completed games are victories by

Turkey

and

Mexico.

Germany and Spain.

I hope.

I am in full-on baseball mode. I know more about opera than I do the Euro 2008 football champeenship. Which, as you saw earlier, ain't sayin' much.

I'm pretty sure I saw where Spain won something, so maybe they're still in it.

Other guess is Italy

This is great, Nancy. Our ploy of getting the other team to be overconfident is working very well.

Well, crud! The Boy was at work today, so we didn't see that game. (I'm blaming him for the miss, you see.)

Hey, you should get points for Turkey -- even if you were thinking the wrong sport!

I shot two arrows through the air,

my aim was blind, I did despair.

Through sheer dumb luck, I scored a pair!

I think I did get points for Turkey. I missed points for implying that Mexico was a European team. (Ahem. I didn't. I just didn't read the question properly. Like, with all the words.)

well, Uly, at this point in time, Dutch Treat no longer.

Russian blinis win 3-1. I was so impressed with Dutch game vs France IIRC I was hoping for their making a run to the finals.
