Non Sequitur - What are doing for Mother's Day?

#1 Post by christie1111 » Fri May 09, 2008 8:45 pm

We go down to my Dad's club because my step mother likes us to come down. And the food is good.

Sounds nice. We're doing a brunch at a very nice restaurant. Small group due to others seeing their mothers or mil - but that's OK. I'll see everyone before the day is over.

We go out into the back yard and watch my new grass grow. Lizbit becomes a pain in the rear, and Annie growls at her. Then we all go back inside and snuggle. Two of us eat chewie sticks.

You could get some beef jerky and join in. Just a suggestion.

We are cleaning out the second BR, in anticipation of getting the BR set (and a few other things) from TLAF's house on Tuesday.

Most of the BR set and other stuff will be in the garage temporarily. But, I want to get the vanity and armoire in the room.

We celebrated Mother's Day with TLAF last week and are heading down to get her for the house settlement next week.

I sent my mother (91 in 12 days) a coffee mug. She called to ask me if it was OK if she uses it for her morning coffee!!

It's not a decoration, Mom, it's a coffee mug.

Do you think there is anything we could do for Trish?

I wish I knew the severity of what happened, but I don't want to pry.

Can we all post ecards to her on the PM part of the site?

LOL!

I let my mom guilt me into paying way too much to send her flowers. Next year, I will send a coffee mug!

TLAF wouldn't use a radio in the kitchen at the shore because she was afraid to move it a few inches.

It's a radio!! Turn it on!!

We will go to see my mom, then come back for a backyard bbq with some of the kids and grandkids. Nancy refuses to go out on Mother's Day. Actually, I believe this is the first Mother's Day she has not had to work on Mother's Day, being in the restaraunt biz and all.

We went out tonight to eat. My son paid for her dinner. I was on my own.

I'll call my mom.

I am sure Pealette will call me.

I will be watching Baby Boy play golf.
