While you are sharpening your thinking caps....

Place in chronologic order from earliest onwards, the following conducting eras of the Philadelphia Orchestra:

1 - Ricardo Muti
2 - Eugene Ormandy, recording on Columbia
3 - Eugene Ormandy, recording on RCA
4 - Leopold Stokowski

Do we have enough to play?

Are we doing separate threads to try to keep from being shut down?

Sorry I'm late, I had to walk the dog. Of course, I don't own a dog, but I've had Kelbie all week.

Have we always been shut down or do we think it is only whenwe have a lot of posters?

Face it, Kay. You have a dog. And you love him.

As cute as he is, she loves him, regardless of the official owner

Whew! Glad I dint miss anything. I had to go brush my teeth. I figgered mebbe my breath was offensive. I might not have known it if I hadn't looked at Silver's avatar and noticed both Calvin AND Hobbes holding their noses.

Unless they were commenting on my answer to the starter question...

Natalie has a new boyfriend. Lt. at the fire department here. About her age, a bit older, never been married, totally enamered with her. Sent her flowers to her hotel room in NYC this week. They actually graduated from Auburn the same year, but had never met.

I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing a lot more of Kelbie. In the past, Natalie would have come straight here to pick her up. I haven't even had a phone call since Monday to see how she's doing & Natalie got back in town this afternoon.

Silver Car nails the right response.

Stokowski, who lived until he was close to 100 and continued working right up to then, left the job of principal conductor decades earlier at Philly to Eugene Ormandy, who seemingly worked even longer.

Back in the days when orchestral recodring of the big composer classics were important..., RCA considered it a big deal to win Philadelphia over to its stable of artists, in 1969.

After Ormandy, Muti.

Thanks for noticing, Mr T and Melly!

Just got home from being a Democrat.

Well, I'm always a Dem. I just got home from an Event.

Our Clinton delegates to the state convention are dropping like flies. Amazing how emergencies are happening only in the Clinton camp . . . Obama's folkses are virtually intact . . .

Hi Sprots....I had to run over and answer Q1. It's not easy keeping up with this format.

Enamored is good.

Being smitten when the other is enamored is really good.
