STARTER FRIDAY APRIL 18, 2008

#1 Post by etaoin22 » Fri Apr 18, 2008 8:37 pm

STARTER:

The decline in classical music on the radio locally has me listening to 97.7 CHOM, the once legendary free form rock station, now tightly formatted "classic rock".

Nevertheless, music is better than being switched to talk...

Put in chronologic order these "geographic" songs or acts I have heard within the last three days on CHOM:

1 - Kashmir
2 - Nirvana
3 - Space Oddity
4 - Woodstock.

I am going for the well known ones. The ones which make it onto tight format stations.

durnit. should have used Dark Side of the Moon. After T-BOnes comment, I note:

Space Oddity has both a late sixties and then a 1972 rerelease, so putting it either ahead or behind Woodstock would have been OK.

Kashmir is 1975, if I have learned correctly.

Nirvana: they say they are classic rock, but they just played Smells Like Teen Spirit.....
