The power of the mass media to embarrass even for stuff which is innocuous keeps a lot of good people out.

maybe sprots about who doesn't bother trying even though they would be good.

True enough.

The media will investigate it all.

I hope no one publishes things I wrote in other peoples yearbooks etc.

And thank god they didn't have cell phone cameras/intenet when I was in college.

It is amazing I got a chemistry degree!

I've heard a lot of good people say they would never run for public office....

Leno is being brutal tonight. I also heard today that the poor little call girl who supposedly left an abusive home at 17 was really raised in a very fine home with every opportunity and left only when her dad refused to replace the Porsche she wrecked. Haven't had time to check out the validity yet.

Information supposedly came from someone who grew up with her.

As far as media skeleton-in-closet revelations go, the only thing more dangerous than running for office these days is becoming an American Idol contestant.

Keep ones peepee where it belongs.

Maybe this should be a rule.
