Mountain Pass

Nanaimo - my sister-in-law calls these Neighmo bars - but then she calls Sarah Palin - Sarah Pawlin!

I know there are crow's nests at the top of drilling rigs, so I will say Oil Field. (I recognize the possibility of a trick question here, because I could make a case for one or two of the other answers.)

G - A pleasant dessert square, the "__________ bar", is named after this town in British Columbia

1 - Penticton
2 - Kelowna
3 - Nanaimo
4 - Terrace

I've never heard of this. I will guess Terrace. (If I could use my double dip, I would say Penticton next.)

B - Mountain Pass?

G - no clue whatsoever - so I'll choose Nanaimo cause it's a neat word. :)

Great guessing Kay.

Nanaimo Bars are composed of a bottom made from chocolate cookies, coconut & pecans. A centre of butter cream and topped with chocolate. Yummie.

The Crow's Nest Pass is the southernmost of the important Rocky Mountain passes, and its development for a rail line around 1900 was important to allow east to west transport across the valleys of southeastern British Columbia in which all the logical transport was north to south. The railway had to promise to carry prairie grain for next-to-nothing in return.

Nanaimo Bar.

Terrace has some pop kulch reference -- it aint prairie but its there with Red Deer and Medicine Hat in a line of the Guess Who song "Runnin Back to Saskatoon".

OMG! That sounds sinfully good!! Especially after I've eaten nothing but tuna salad sandwiches on whole wheat
and poached eggs on whole wheat toast all week. I did lose 5 lbs though.

must be some diuretic in the tuna salad :D :D
Though i do love poached eggs on whole wheat toast, in fact I think I've used poached eggs in a question two or three times.

Kay and I think alike - I still haven't scrolled down enough to know if we are right though.
