Moratorium Lounge Open!

I’ve set up a few crock pots (the crack pots weren’t allowed in) over on the table with the fixin’s. Help your self.
Chili Bar
All Beef Chili (NO BEANS!) – for those who think chili isn’t chili if it has beans in it)
- This one is a little spicy so watch the kick at the end
Ground Turkey and Small White Bean Chili – A ‘green’ chili that is a bit more figure friendly for any one watching their weight, you know who you are!
Vegetarian Four Bean Chili – This has a lot of cumin in it and a bit of chipotle in adobo so it is a bit smoky.
Toppings - Sliced scallions, chopped red onion, cilantro sprigs, avocado, sour cream, grated Monterey jack cheese, sliced jalapenos and assorted tortilla chips
PSM made us some dark chocolate chip and pecan cookies. I heard there were brownies too, but SOMEONE ate them all. Sheesh!
There are peanuts and popcorn on the bar. Don’t throw them at the comedian. He has 10 kids and could use the extra money. Unless he is already a millionaire and just hasn’t been able to tell us yet.
I’ll take a frozen margarita with salt barkeep!

I think we SHOULD throw them. With 10 kids, he could use the FOOD!

How about lowfat, fluffy tapioca pudding for an alternative dessert?

I'm not in a cooking mood, (shock!) but I'll borrow Grandma's old Fiesta dinnerware settings!
The food looks yummy!

I haven't had a stuffed mushroom in awhile, so I'll bring those. They just need to heat up in the oven for a minute. Cream cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic cloves, pork sausage, Frank's hot sauce, whatever else will fit. Stuff those puppies.
Like Sliver's mouth right now the glutton.

One of these days we should have "fair food" in the lounge...I'm fresh off the Big E and I could eat that stuff nonstop. Fried dough, cheese fries, baked potatoes, pierogis, steak and cheese, apple crisp, kettle corn, fried oreos, etc....

Maybe there's a starving artist sale down the block. A velvet Elvis would look good over that crack in the wall.....

Didn't Nitrah move the Dogs Playing Poker print from the basement? Does anyone know where he put it?

I have been home all day trying to figure out why my internet wouldn't connect.finally picked up the phone to find no dial tone.
Phone company says they may show up by friday!
Until then it's blackberry access only.
Looks like I haven't missed a whole lot.
Enjoy the game LB!

Kay,
When they mergered phone co. in our area, they made one of the conditions that they had to make home repairs within 24 hours.
That is the piece of information I mentioned to them when I found our phone out.
It was repaired within 24 hours.

I hope you're all talking about REAL tapioca pudding, not that snot in a plastic cup that the pudding companies call 'tapioca'.
I make a double or triple batch about every other week (it's one of those things where it's easier to make a lot than a little). Everybody in the family loves it and I'm the only one that can make it from scratch.
Funny, I was just talking day before yesterday about how much prices are going up. Several months ago, the price of a box of tapioca skyrocketed overnight. So now I order mine from Amazon for like 1/4 the price.

I read the stuffed mushroom post to my son. His exact words were "Why don't we ever visit this person?"

Real is the only way-and you have to double the recipe or it's only enough for me.
I beat the egg whites and fold them in after the pudding is cooked. I make it very time i go to my mom's.
