top o' the mornin'®

#1 Post by earendel » Tue Sep 23, 2008 6:11 am

One of the ancillary benefits of the power outage was that our two sons who have been staying with us were motivated to find their own place. They have been looking for a while, but not having electricity spurred them to redoubled effort, and they finally found a place on Saturday. Some of their stuff is still at our house but for the most part we have been able to reclaim elwing's sewing room. Of course they had electricity on Saturday and Sunday when we did not, but that was no big deal. So we're back to being empty-nesters. Let's see how long it lasts this time.

I hope they invited you guys over for the weekend!

This reminded me of how my m-i-l stayed here after surgery, and the weeks just started dragging on with no end, until I got pneumonia. Then all of a sudden she was well enough to go home.

I hope they can make this work out!

It's all his fault. That'll be $10.

<Unpopular>

It will last exactly as long as you say it will last.
