Yesterday, Lady G's new car gets dinged in a parking lot while she is shopping. Fortunately, the guy that dinged her car was honest enough to leave his name and number on the windshield. But it is such a hassle doing the insurance / repair stuff.

Last night, my computer's power supply went south. Fortunately, I keep a spare handy just in case as I have had my share of power supply failures.

Then, this morning, my router blows up. Unfortunately, I don't keep a spare router on hand so I had to run down to Best Buy to get a replacement.

They say things happen in threes.

Maybe that will be the end of it. Very few people admit to dinging someone else's car. You were fortunate there.

I am having one of those great days.

Things are smooth and easy.

The deer broke into our garden this year - so I am buying all our vegies this year. We had great cherry tomatoes plants. We did get to harvest some broccoli before they broke in.

Sirge, you will get the best result if you can get a paintless ding removal person to repair this. I had a nasty dent along an edge of my car's hood (where the sheet metal was 3 layers thick) and I found a magician who removed it such that you could only see a slight ripple in the paint if you knew exactly where to look. He charged only $100 to $150 and did an amazing job. This, of course, all depends on the size and location of the ding, and whether or not the paint itself was damaged. It may be a better result at a rate less than the guy's insurance deductible, so he may want to do it outside of his policy.

When I spoke to the guy I offered this option. He wanted me to go through the insurance company. The ding / scratch is on the fiberglas front fenders so I don't know if they can patch this satisfactorily or will have to replace the bumper. Lady G is extremely fussy when it comes to these things so I suspect they will have to replace it.

We are still waiting to see our first deer of the season. Neighbors have told us that they have seen them in past seasons.

We will probably start our garden next year. We had a huge crop of tomatoes, green beans and green onions last year. This year we planted watermelons and they were doing really well but we sold the house and moved before they had matured. I'm sure the buyers of our place had an extra treat.

I had that kind of day last Friday.

I am still waiting to get my $2,000 back.

Not sure. But I have everything running off an APC backup which is supposed to smoothe those out. The computer is running fine otherwise.
