Kids Week Reunion Jeopardy

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Thu Sep 18, 2008 7:05 am

Is the consensus that they're not going to be holding a Kids Week this season, because they're doing the Kids Week Reunion? Seeing as how all the contestants we're seeing this week are college students, it seem to me that they should be skipping College Week, instead.

I think Alex actually said on the first day of the week that they'd be holding the regular Kids Week later in the season.

Oh, OK.

They could still do with skipping College Week!

And they could give Seniors Week a try in its place.

I agree with you Marley. I would love to see a Senior's week.

So are they pairing up the same kids against each other, or is it a random seeding?

I wonder if Jeopardy administered any tests to determine whether the invited returnees still had game. So far, it seems that some of them haven't learned much in the past ten years. Wednesday's show may have set an all time record for Triple Stumpers.

Considering the normal demographic bias of TPTB, it'd probably be college seniors.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

J! USED to have a Seniors Tournament-back in the mid-90's. One of the people who was at my first tryout back in 1994 wound up being in it. With all the ads for stuff like denture adhesive, colon-cleansing medicine, and other "senior citizien" type products, you'd think they'd be doing a Senior Tourney every year.

They will be doing the college tourney-they've been promoting the online test for the past two weeks, ever since the new season started.

What I'm waiting for is "People Who've Been Rejected for Our Show 5 or More Times" week.
I'm just a game show nerd.

Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

According to the Jeopardy board, these "Kid Reunion" contestants weren't even among the better players when they were on nine years ago. I don't know why they would invite back the past losers instead of the winners.

At least that's what someone in this thread appears to be saying:
http://boards.sonypictures.com/boards/s ... hp?t=38104

1999 Curtis: 3rd across the board
1999 Kendra: 3rd across the board
1999 Anjali: 2nd entering FJ, 2nd highest Coryat, and finished 3rd (against Joel and Max)

E.S.!

Here I've been patiently waiting my turn to be immortalized in one of your portraits, and you've had it done since January!!! :D

And, uly, I have never asked for special rules or government fiats to create special "Pick Me" exceptions. All I want is a level playing field in which to compete for a spot in the game by playing something like the game, itself. Even just one slot per season (a la the Million Dollar Buddy contest) would leave me with a shred of hope. :|

Remember when the Phone Game was "Round 1" of Millionaire, with the televised version simply being "Round 3"?

Edit: Oops, lower case 'u'.

I'd like to see J! implement it because I'd qualify.

I've been rejected by J! twice, so it looks like I've still got a ways to go. :-|

Dang, ES, I realize you only paint what you see, but what kind of deviant is Marley living next door to, anyway?

(Note that, even though I expressed my bewilderment over proper case usage yesterday, I ALWAYS capitalize Marley. Ha!)
