Husband1111 and I are playing hooky and going to watch Son1111's football game to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary.

It was a bit better than the year we spent our anniversary dinner at a rest area on the Jersey turnpike on our way home from Sesame Place.
Son1111 played well, started first half on special team the whole game then in the second half joined the offensive line. Team1111 scored a touchdown at the last possible moment.
Only problem was the numerous touchdowns scored by the other team before that.

Gotcha. That can be a problem when the other team scores a few more TD's.
Sounds like your son got off to a pretty good start though.
