Well, they should have, but they didn't so now Bank of America is picking them up on the cheap.

Anyway, I hope not too many people here were counting on $200 oil in their portfolios.

Also, I don't know where Bob Junch got his news that 10 platforms were destroyed. Maybe the same place he gets his news that Obama is in the lead. This article says

Not sure. Depends on when Clorox finds a better formula. Formlas 410 through 463 were all busts, with the exception of 457. I worked, but smelled like cooked bacon and limited the market to non Jewish and non Muslim folks. So they continue to do research.

One station here has REGULAR gas at $4.64 a gallon on Saturday. Surely he can be fined somehow. A lot of stations are out of fuel and say they will be for several days. If you want fuel, we're forced to pay these prices. My car uses diesel and it was actually the cheapest on their price board at $4.06!!! I had filled up Wednesday and didn't need any, thank goodness.

I have a full tank, but have a necessary trip to Birmingham. It's really frustrating!!

I have 3/8 of a tank of gas. I hope I can hold off until the prices drop at least 50 cents per gallon.

There were reports of gasoline skyrocketing to $4.75 or more a gallon in western Kentucky on Friday and Saturday; locally it hit $3.99 on Friday, then $4.15 on Saturday, and that's where it is now - if you can find a station that's open and has gasoline (Thornton's, one of the major chains in the area, doesn't have any to send to its local stations and some have been out since Saturday).

I still want to know why our gas on the IL side of St. Louis shot up on Wednesday when it apparently did so nowhere else in the country until Friday and Saturday....

I smell a conspiracy....

I filled up at Kroger just after 6 Friday morning at 3.509 (posted 3.539 less 3 cents for my Kroger card) but just a few minutes later, the tanker rolled in ...

by Friday afternoon it was 3.799

and this morning it's 4.099

Other stations on the way to work range from 4.059 to 4.299, with several stations out, including all the Mapco stores.

My feelings exactly.

If gas prices were around $4.00 when a barrel of oil was around the $140 mark, why isn't gas around $2.25 when the price of oil is down near $100? I don't understand that economic formula.

Regular is still $3.599 here in town.

$3.69 'round here yesterday & this morning. Up about 10 cents from Friday.

I suspect we get most of ours from the Gulf area. For example, Mapco used to be Delta, as in Mississippi delta.

I don't know what you were listening to back then, but I told everyone when the topic came up that "in 5 years when all these adjustables adjust" we will see record foreclosures.

However, I did not make any kind of financial play, as I am not much of the investor type. I'm usually right, but I have terrible timing.

Down here in gas shortage land, I just paid $3.59 for regular. I could have paid only $3.39 if I wanted to wait behind 13 other cars. We must have better gouging laws here.

I know nothing about BiT's finances, but I've met his children. In my opinion, he is indeed wealthy beyond most people's imagining.

Long enough after so that even the people who didn't panic and buy gas at $3.99 will have to buy at least a little bit before they go back down....
