We got slammed by Ike yesterday - wind gusts up to 70 MPH knocked down trees and power lines all over the city. The local utility company estimates that 250,000 people are without power and it will take days to restore power to everyone. Since our fair city is playing host to the Ryder Cup this week, a lot of people believe that this will have priority, meaning that other areas may not get power until next week. Unfortunately Rivendell is in one of the areas that is sans electricity.
