Checking In
We have electricity. Power went off about 11:00 Friday night and came back on about 3:00 yesterday afternoon. We feel really lucky. Half our neighborhood is still without power, much west of us is without power and most east of us is. We are the only ones in my wife's family here that has power so some stayed with us last night.
We have no cable and thus no high-speed internets. I am connected via dial-up ath 26.2K (ugh).
We had a little damage to the house. Lost some shingles that resultied in small leaks in the master bath and bedroom. Other than that we made out very well.
My m-i-l has trees down everwhere including a rather large on on her roof. She has leaks.
So, all in all, for me all is O.K. Hopefully all the other Houston BBs are doing well.

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Thanks for letting us know you're in relatively good shape.
