This week's newspaper insert

#1 Post by gotribego26 » Sun Sep 14, 2008 7:30 am

How many of you got a copy of the DVD "Obsession" Placed in your newspaper yesterday?

There is little to be found about the the Clarion Fund on the web.

A fellow Charlottean was upset enough to post on the Daily Kos.

The fact the Daily Kos readers are upset means I'm not that bothered. But it was unusual to have come in the newspaper.

No word as of yet, though, if the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette included a slab of bacon in today's edition...

Maybe along with that bacon, they included the egg Adam Wainwright laid me last night.

I can forget about making the BBBL playoffs now.....

Did the Frozen Tundra Times include some lutefisk?
I believe in the usefulness of useless information.

Nahh...that was probably one of the Twin Cities rags.

Our local beacon of enlightenment tried fried curds once. Didn't work out real well.

It was in a bunch of cities.

Local Muslim leaders said it was hate speech, though I don't know how they could have said that Friday, before they had seen it. I have not watched it yet either, though I intend to see a few minutes of it before passing judgment.

They are probably right, though. If the movie was informational rather than trying to inspire fear or hatred, someone would have showed it on PBS or cable, instead of paying to deliver it to so many people.
