Thank God he's taking a nap...got up before 7AM.

Here he is playing with a toy drum and practicing his "patty cake" I'm teaching him. :D

Awwwwww!

Emma plays drums. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.

I was looking for a picture of Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen from one of the early 80's Pyromania videos, but couldn't find one. He's drumming while wearing nothing but a pair of Union Jack boxers.

That's what that picture reminded me of.....

I couldn't get him to smile, so I just snapped it while he wasn't crying. He was about ready for his nap.

Keep looking for that photo. I'm sure it's out there somewhere. I usually just keep him in his diaper until after his morning nap.

He's such a doll -- if he is a future drummer, let's hope it kicks in at about, oh, 18, 19, somewhere in there.

#1 Son tapped and banged on everything he could find as a baby. I have a great pic of him ca. age 4, gazing up adoringly at the drummer in my band. The drummer was standing behind #1S, guiding his hands as he held drumsticks and tried out a real drum kit.

Received his first set for Christmas at age 9. In high school he was the only white guy on the drumline, and got to play at two college bowl games. He's almost 22 now and has quite the percussion collection.

It's amazing what the rest of the family can tune out!

WHAT a cutie pie.

And, for the record -- my cousin earned quite a few bucks and his son earned his way through college as a drummer in a jazz/dance/wedding band.

It's a good skill to have.

It will drive people NUTS while he's learning but it's a good skill to have.

I just took a look. That's definitely one of the best. LB has a fantastic eye for detail.

Can't wait for the book!

As is the case with most great works of art, this is an idealized view of the subject.

I don't look quite so good in them in reality.

Those underoos look strangely masculine.
