This Week on BAM

#1 Post by peacock2121 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 7:05 am

Does it seem like they are pushing "This contestant really needs the money" angle this week?

Yes, it does.

And that fits in nicely with their "here's $1,000 just for showing up" angle.

Exactly!

I wonder if they were hand picked for this or if they just found these 'stories' once they were booked.

Yes. It also seems that these contestants are doing no better than regular ones in terms of winning money or in lifeline management.

News flash!

Today's show has a good contestant -- smart, cute, and likeable.

Suitguy is not bitter.

feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive

The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.

Kay,

I think you should go find Georgia's biggest peach and take a picture next to it. All the attention will then be sent your way.

TMISSS took care of it in Thguy's hotness thread. You must check it out.

Thanks for the advice, though. I need all the help I can get.

Well the boll weevil monument in Enterprise is OK, but because of the boll weevil Alabama has peanuts. The peanut festival is going on this week.
They have a peanut costume contest in Dothan. Maybe I could get my photo with these contestants....
