Yup, looks like it will get a bit breezy around here this weekend.

And if you take a look at the end of Ike's projected path, we in Kentucky could be seeing a lot of that rain next week. We could use some of that rain. We've had a mini-drought all summer.

You can have all the rain you want, so long as the western part of Missouri stays dry early next week...

And please note that all my whining I've done about Ike's path after it makes landfall in no way means I'm not concerned about those who will be in its path when it can still do kickass damage. Here's hoping all our Texas BB's stay safe the next few days....

Just curious BiT, what have you done to keep your trampoline from blowing away?

How did you know I have a trampoline?

So far nothing, but I will move it over to a big tree and tie it down.

You posted about it here.I was just curious because they're saying we might get a little taste of the big wind here. We've got ours staked down. If the forecast says our winds are gonna be really high, I'll take the mat off.

Oh, just thought you might be stalking me because you can see it on Google Earth. :D

Google Earth hasn't updated the photo of our backwater subdivision, so all you can see is the road we live on, with no houses. But zillow.com has our house, the trampoline and my car in the driveway.

As much as I joke about wishing away the hurricanes to keep my m-i-l out of my guest room, I certainly don't wish them on anyone else, especially when they are the monsters (the storms, not the BBs...). I hope all you guys stay out of harm's way and hope to keep hearing from you all throughout next week (which means I hope you keep your electricity.)

Heck, I'd even read one of BiT's political posts if it meant he was okay.... :P :P

Are those trampolines part of a Texas plan to dominate the London Olympics?

Zillow has me walking away from the mailbox sorting the mail! Creepy...

Trampolining isn't a real sport. Next thing you know, they will add tubing as a sport.

I checked out my house on Zillow. I wish that my house was worth as much as they say it is!

It looks like Jeff was home the day that they took the picture, but I was not.
