Just a hose & a tube! Just a hose & a tube! Wheeeee

I thought the old car was a goner for good. Antifreeze coming from unidentifiable places. "Your radiator was almost empty". At which I gasped, because that didn't even happen when the radiator hoses in front blew. And usually I check the radiator before even the tow-truck person turns it on to drive it up the flatbed truck ramp (after the last gonzo hitch tower, I'm doing what the car book does order & asking for flatbeds only).

"We put some water in & there's water coming out all over the engine, in weird places. We won't know until we get it apart in back of the engine. It could be a radiator hose, it could be a cylinder head."

With the horrible turn my life has taken in other details (which I hope I know better than to post here), I really do not need to car shop right now. I should have, of course, car shopped about 5 years ago, at around 180,000 miles, when the Big Bills started racking up. I'm only at 223,000 miles now, because I no longer take it on trips over 200 miles, & I hold my breath through most of those.

But it was just a hose & a tube! JUST A HOSE & A TUBE!!!!!!! This will be a heck of an expensive hose & tube, being part of the engine & all, but not engine-rebuild expensive.

We still need to find a computer, though. When the red light 1st came on, it was interpreted by the tea-leaf-readers to mean "you need an oxygen sensor". Then is was something else. Now the computer is telling us "you need a new computer", & apparently they don't make them any more. And for some reason there aren't any at the junkers, because people love these cars to death even after they loose all their oomph, & don't wanna junk them. I've met several Acura Integra former drivers who feel the same way; one's car got smashed. One's car got stolen. My car, uh, needs a hose, tube, computer, turn signal that functions for left turns all the time without goosing, head lamp assembly that keeps the damn lamp pointed straight ahead (we goose that one for inspection too, but it doesn't hold).....
