I am not sure but I think the category for the beer related question on the first show of season 7 read vocabulary, not vegetables. I could be wrong.

Nope. I just watched my recording and freeze-framed it, and it says "vegetables", clear as day.

So Reagan got ketchup classified as a vegetable, and now we can add beer! So I'm well on my way to meeting the USDA pyramid thingy requirements after a night at the ballpark. I may just have to look more closely at this whole vegetarianism deal...

Well, beer does contain grain, so it could qualify in that part of the pyramid.

Back in college, we'd call it "cereal in a can".

Well, beer does contain grain, so it could qualify in that part of the pyramid.

Back in college, we'd call it "cereal in a can".

We call it "liquid bread"! In college, leftover pizza for breakfast was the "Italian Cheese Toast"...

I hit the KFC last night! Leftover chicken for breakfast today. I had to try the new Original strips out on Mini-me, who loves Original Recipe, but only white meat, and only if there is crust on every bite. So since he had baseball practice last night and I was still doing the Single Mom deal until 7 pm I got takeout, and he loved the strips.

He and Erin are such picky-heads, they are like accidental vegetarians. He eats very little meat, and she eats none. We go through a lot of yogurt and cheese around here...

(And, no--I won't give them beer to boost their veggie intake! )

What a coincidence, since I also ate there last night!

I have taken to getting corn on the cob as my side now instead of potato wedges. Only KFC can screw up something so good as a potato wedge.... they are nasty....

I've never tried the wedges, but their cole slaw is addictive. I got the green beans, but the container is still unopened. The corn tends to be too soggy for my taste, but it could just be my local place...

strange, I just double checked it as well, and it said vocabulary. I guess I need new glasses...or they changed the category in certain viewing areas.

I've had the loose corn off the buffet (Not ours here, we have about the only KFC left anywhere without a buffet) and it's second to none so far as other fast food joints. On the cob, it's even better....

Their green beans are pretty good too.... and along with corn, that accounts for my entire vegetable intake since all other veggies aren't on my menu....

We don't have a buffet either--I think they took one look at my hulking son and realized they'd go out of business in a week with him around. I guess I'll have to try the beans myself today! They're Beast-Approved tm r c etc....

The coolest thing abot our KFC is that when the remodelled a few months ago, they must've got a new satellite radio system for the PA. For about a month, it was playing the all 80's all the time station. Made me make a few extra visits....

I guess all the workers finally griped, and it is now on the All 90's all the time station. Still not bad, but where else can you hear New Wave as Muzak?

KFC has the best cole slaw! I have one of those knockoff recipes for it and it comes out pretty well, but not quite the same. I also like their mac & cheese. No, it's not like my homemade, but it's good in a different way.

You guys talking about vegetables reminds me of one of my favourite King of the Hill episodes. Hank is all stopped up and Peggy is trying to get him to eat more fiber. They're at a buffet or cafeteria or something and Hank has a plate full of nothing but meat.

Peggy: Could you just get at least ONE vegetable?

Hank: Oh, all right....... give me some of that macaroni and cheese over there.

I've had fried chicken that's more vegetable than meat. All oil and breading. Ugh!

I think I figured it out, if it matters..... In the beginning they had the beer related question in the category of vegetables, but later on in the show they had it listed as vocabulary.

You MUST try Jack in the Box's cheddar potato wedges. They're last-meal worthy. Buttery and greasy with cheese, sour cream, bacon bits. Just decadently yummy.

Did you see on the news yesterday where they had a police escort in Louisville to move the "secret recipe" for KFC. They're moving the vault where it's stored or some such thing.
