Oh, man. Let's retire that. I give. Seriously. I think I wore my welcome (mat) out on that.

It does remind me of some people I know (seriously, not you), though. I love Non Sequitur. We used to get it in the Sunday comics.

I bought, to reread, the original and the next two. Or one. I forget. It was a used bookstore that I've been a member of since 1990 and I still have credit on the books...

So, I started Dune and got all into it and then, whoosh, got bogged down. I now have three Dune books languishing.

So, I started Dune and got all into it and then, whoosh, got bogged down. I now have three Dune books languishing.

I have a friend who once opined that Dune is proof of divine inspiration because there's no other way to account for the fact that Dune is so good and all the sequals are so bad. I tried to wade through Dune Messiah and just couldn't get it; OTOH I have found that Kevin J. Anderson's prequels have been pretty good.

Maybe that's why I got bogged down. I remember just loving Dune and then thinking with the next batch, ?! snooze zzzzzz
