Hey, I'm from Philadelphia. If you can't dance, you don't leave the house.

:D :)

Well I guess we can be late and still wish a happy birthday. Sorry we missed it earlier today.

Hope you had a wonderful day!

Thank you. It was pretty much just another day. Not a birthday ending in 5 or 0, so nothing particularly special planned. Got a Red Sox World Series Champions long-sleeved tee and a hat from BD (hat was needed this AM; frost scraping on ALL three cars). GW wanted to get me those Bose noise-cancelling headphones (the plane trips to PA and NYC were all on smaller prop planes, and were LOUD), but couldn't decide which one, so I have to choose.

GW made this intensely chocolate cake which she mercifully makes only once every five years or so. I'm sure she cut down the recipe to make a smaller cake. The original recipe calls for 18 ounces of chocolate and a cup-and-a-half of heavy cream. We each had a piece, and I brought the rest to work to feed the local locusts and get it out of the house.

Anyhoo. Another year older, maybe another year wiser, definitely slimmer and arguably more healthy. Meanwhile, I've gotta get to work. TTYL.

Wow. I wish I had some of YOUR cake!

I let Mini-me decorate his this year. It was quite....festive. Not a square centimeter left uncovered by either sprinkles or M&M's. Then when I went to put the rest up on the counter, I noticed a small section that looked as if it had been raked by a tiny rake, where all the M&M's were missing. The tines of the rakes were about the size of a certain two-year-old's fingers.

That put me off the leftovers, thank goodness....
