I thought the Orioles were up there in patheticity (I don't care if that's not a word, dammit!). I guess they haven't had 17 losing seasons in a row, after all...

Speaking of number 1 and Pirates, how about ECU? Yowza. They're kicking all sorts of butt on the gridiron these days...

They were on the losing end of the Jeffery Maier game, and that was only 12 years ago....

They tanked once Davey Johnson left after the '97 season.....

16 in a row????

The curse of Barry Bonds!
Or of Doug Drabek!

I remember the last game before their departure well.

The St. Louis Browns never had more than 16 consecutive losing seasons? That's surprising given their reputation for losing (although they were way before my time)...

The Rockies broke numberous (I don't care if that's not a word either, dammit!) records on their way to the pennant last year, including loudness of whining about pitching, how teams hit better in our park, and on and on.

You will improve. Someday you will have another Bonds and Bonilla on the field at the same time.
