Lest you think I'm slacking off ...

#1 Post by gsabc » Sun Sep 07, 2008 6:10 pm

It's just too busy at home to get to the last bits of the wedding blog. Latest weekend was taken up with getting our sewer connection estimate, digging up and transplanting day lilies which lie in the path of where the backhoe will enter our backyard, and general weekend chores.

Also spent a couple of hours going through our table camera photos, trying to find decent enough pictures to upload into Snapfish. I have no idea why the heck many came out upside down when moved from the Kodak Picture CD into the computer. Had to flip them, save them, and so on. Maybe someday I'll get a decent photo editing software so I can do some cropping and a little blur fixing.

So, I'll work on it at lunch over the next couple of days. Maybe. Unless real life intervenes once more.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

The best photo editing software is free: Google's Picassa2.

I want to know how you and your wife are filling your time now that your house is empty.

No dog, no daughter, no wedding, no cleaning.

What will you be doing after your sewer thing is handled?

The first two are rough for GW. Daughter was going to be bad enough, but the sudden turn for the worse with the dog and losing her two weeks before the wedding was a nasty combination. Honestly, I think she's depressed (in the medical sense) and I haven't been able to improve the situation. I'm of mixed feelings, since I tend to suppress things more and go off into my own world a bit. I miss both of them, and even had a dream about the dog last night (the first time the visitation was so vivid).

No wedding is okay. It was a hectic first and last two months from January to August. I'm glad it's over, though we're still dealing with the aftermath, like the table photos and organizing them.

No cleaning? To quote another BB, HA! BD's room is in a state of disrepair and still needs organizing. We have to find all the stuff we stashed in the basement and wherever, so we can deal with all of it again. We need to clear out things with the idea of painting, ripping up the rug and putting in hardwood floors, etc. Cleaning is probably our primary home occupation.

You have my good wishes in trying to impact GW's emotional state.

Depression is a bitch.
