Now that you have a democratic politician that you don't like, the blinders have come off, SSS. This type of media bias has existed for a long time.

Now, what in the world was this guy thinking when he brought racial prejudice into this report? He could have said that Obama faces lingering questions about his ties to Rezko, Ayers, Wright and others. Instead, he brought up racial prejudice.

There haven't been any allegations of anything in the last month that have racial overtones. The announcer didn't say that Palin faced problems due to rampant sexism (which has been very obvious in the last week).

No, instead, to bolster Obama's shaky campaign, there's the insinuation that Obama's problems aren't all of his own making. It's all due to the Republicans and those racists out there who won't give him a fair shake. And this came out of the blue, at a time when the media refuses to discuss any possible sexism in regard to criticisms of Palin (and before her, Hillary).

Then, to top it off, the announcer mentioned how much more his supporters were motivated than McCain's, citing $10 million he'd raised earlier this week and a fundraiser given by Jon Bon Jovi. Of course, the crowd shots earlier in the news piece showed McCain/Palin talking in front of a much larger and more enthusiastic crowd than Obama was.

This is what passes for "objective" morning news reporting.

Unfortunately, it's a dangerous undercurrent to the campaign, and one of the upsides to Obama winning would be that such talk will seem ridiculous in the future.
