3rd season of "5th Grader" premieres tonight!

#1 Post by MarleysGh0st » Fri Sep 05, 2008 8:48 am

Huzzah! :P

Georgia schools Superintendent Kathy Cox is one of the celebrity contestants on tonight's show. A local politician apparently thinks this is inappropriate, so he's running a critical ad during the show on the Atlanta station, according to Fox News.

BuddyTV has a photo and biographical details about the new class. This promo piece avoids the question of whether any of the kids are established actors. Avoiding printing their last names also delays our ability to look them up on IMDB.

Edited becauce I don't think "politicial" is a noun, and English questions are a big part of 5th Grader! Furthermore, I presume they don't share the same last name.

I can't believe you still watch this show!

Thanks for the warning. I'll have to see if there's a millionth rerunning of "The Mummy" on TNT. It's slightly more believable than this show.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Tonight?? Is this a permanent change (not that I'd object), or will it return to its former Thursday slot later in the season? Since I have a standing Friday engagement, I'll be recording it and watching over the weekend. Yes, I "really, really" still watch the show.

I don't know, but Fox lists it on Friday next week, too.

Next week's contestants are identical twins and a mother of quintuplets!

It's a permanent move to Fridays.

And I, too, really really watch. And enjoy. It ain't perfect, but I like it anyway.

Hey KT!

Why don't you stop by chat tonight after 5th grader?

I don't think you go to bed as early as Marley.

Oh, and I will send you a PM aout something we were discussing in chat the other night. It is pretty funny!

I'll be honest. If I did fire up Ramsley after 5th Grader is over, I wouldn't resist the temptation to play some more Civ 4, then I'd stay up way too late!

I'll be TiVoing 5th Grader (which is the best way to watch it). I have plans for the evening, but I don't think I'll be too late, so (without making promises) I might pop in.

I might even be available for FNGD if there is one tonight.

Is that an elected position? I would think their rules would prohibit that.

Spoiler
FOX, like NBC with Deal, has already spoiled this episode as having the 1st million dollar winner for 5th Grader. How much you wanna make a bet that winner is Kathy Cox?

Where'd you find that info?

But, yeah, IMDB says he's an actor!

And he's the kid from Texas, not even one of the ones from SoCal!
