The scrapbook

#1 Post by PlacentiaSoccerMom » Thu Sep 04, 2008 8:31 am

I couldn't think of what to do for a final page for my friend's scrapbook. But then at 1:00 a.m. I got an inspiration.

I am leaving the page blank, except for a little note that reads: "This page reserved for picture of Ellen, aged 100, surrounded by her husband Mark, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and dog Lucky."

I'm a bit misty eyed myself.

You are a very good friend.

I didn't want the last page to be final, we all want her to know that we expect her to beat this and go on and live her a long full life.

The scrapbook itself is very funny. For instance, there are about ten pages devoted to toilet papering. We often caravan as a group and do each other's houses. One night they came to do my house and one of my drunken neighbors called the cops on them. So one of our friends told that story and got the Placentia P.D. to pose by their police cruiser for picture for the book.
