Your avatar kitty should be wearing green shoes to mark the move up.

Far be it from me to argue with the meister of the editions.

Does that mean you're flip-flopping on that lectern, Mr. Carp?

I have a feeling my green status will be on hold for a good while since I'm coming up on active posters.

It was fun while it lasted.

My goal at the moment is to keep up with LB just on this bored. I'm not doing a very job. I get behind every single day.

You've been in the expanded editions posted at the end of the month. Last week, you were ranked 199th.... only about 2,100 posts out of the Top 100..... :P

For about the last 2 months, I've been on about a 100 post per week rate....

Damn, I was in bold again? Where does the time go?

I really need to start posting more again. I fear I may have to resort to gratuitousness. It certainly wouldn't be the first time.

Don't resort to gratuity. That's only for politicians.

There must be a lot of politicians on the Bored then.

How about a technical update on the Bored, Dave? Weren't you looking at transitioning from phpbb version 2 to version 3? Any progress to report?

How about adding some new emoticons? I really want one of the raised eyebrow ones! 8)

Instead of boldly going, you had boldly gone. Now you're back, and no longer so bold.

I've been working with it off and on in my spare time (hahahahahaha, spare time) and it doesn't seem like it's going to break anything, so an upgrade should be happening soon....this month, most likely, since my goal had been to make that upgrade before this incarnation of the Bored reached it's one year anniversary, and that's now about a month away. I'll have to take the Bored completely offline to do it, so I'm going to try to pick a day/time when I'm off work and can do it late at night when most of you aren't around. I'll put a Sticky up with the info once I've got it all squared away.

As for the emoticons, I've held off adding anything else like that until I've done the upgrade, but you can expect more to be added once that's done, since I'm personally a fan of having lots of emoticons.

Just imagine all the new avatars you'll be able to find that night while you aren't able to post! 8)

Did you or one of the other administrators change the settings for maximum avatar size? I thought we had a firm limit of 200 x 200, but I've recently noticed a few avatars that exceed that size. I think the 200x200 works well. Anything larger squeezes the width of the text of the posts.
