I have prepared a tasty array of Mediterranean appetizers for the afternoon.
Come on in, have a seat and have a bite to eat.
Vegetable Torte - Layered Grilled vegetables (Zucchini, eggplant and Roasted red and yellow pepper) with a herb seasoned cheese filling
Toasted Garlic ciabiatta rounds
Tomato, mozzarella and basil salad drizzled with rich extra virgin olive oil
A platter of artfully arranged roasted red pepper hummus, Feta cheese, green and black olives with ever so slightly spicy pita chips
A nice refreshing fruit platter of sweet dates, red and green grapes, pears and crisp apples
I started making some sangria yesterday. It should be ready by now.

There is quite a bit of protien though.
I wanted to make sure things could sit out for a while at room temp.
It could be a long afternoon.

I'm so there!
And then I think I'd like a nap. Especially after I have some of that sangria.

The salad sounds yummy. I'll try and bring some heirloom tomatoes.

For dinner I have prepared a lovely Morrocan inspired lamb stew seasoned with just a hint of cinnamon. For non-lamb eaters, an eggplant parmesan.
Couscous studded with golden raisins and toasted almonds and a fine chiffonade of mint will complement the main course.
Soft, warm flatbreads are available under the domed tangine.
For dessert, some baklava for the decadent, honeyed yogurt with berries for the well behaved.
Anyone know a good cocktail for the menu?

Looks like oloroso is the recommendation.

Great!
Let's open a few bottles and make sure the case is nearby!
