Honest, I did.

President for 8 years, delivering his swan song at his party's convention, and what does he get to do?

A stump speech for a guy who, by all accounts, he can't stand.

At the end of the speech, the guy working the JumboTron at the convention couldn't fade him out fast enough.

I suspect he was not in good humor the rest of the night.

Oh, almost forgot: I consider this a game show post because W. was on DoND once.

My people say he was really mad that he couldn't speak Monday night.

Are they the same ones who said McCain was picking Lieberman? I'd ignore them...

When he paused for applause, you couldn't hear it, so he looked like he was doing nothing.

Now, if he had told the contestant that national intelligence sources firmly identify the $1 million to be in case #X, that'd be a different story!

The Republicans deliberately scheduled Bush's speech before the network telecasts were to begin at 10:00 hoping that he wouldn't be televised. The networks wouldn't let them get away with it.

I have to say they have played the weather card very well by using it as justification to cut off a litany of speakers that most people don't want to hear. The only coverage of the convention Monday night was of Laura Bush and Cindy McCain trying to raise funds for hurricane relief, which played a whole lot better than the originally scheduled programming of Bush and Cheney.

Yeah, especially if those were the same sources that located the WMD in Iraq.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this. It was a bit surreal -- and unintentionally quite hilarious. If the Daily Show lets this go unnoticed, they are not doing their job properly.

I guess that you needed to watch on CNN, FoxNews, or MSNBC. When he paused for applause, there was applause essentially until he started speaking again (somewhat between polite applause and loud applause).
