Huh? Bryan Clay won the 2008 Olympic decathlon. He was nowhere near the 1996 Olympics.peacock2121 wrote:Liukin will be on Wheaties.
as will Bryan Clay from the 96 Olympics.
Wonder why General Mills didn't give it to Clay in 96.
Yes, and he is one of the 12 medal winners representing Hawai'i.TheConfessor wrote:Huh? Bryan Clay won the 2008 Olympic decathlon. He was nowhere near the 1996 Olympics.peacock2121 wrote:Liukin will be on Wheaties.

True, though he was born in Austin, TX.christie1111 wrote: Yes, and he is one of the 12 medal winners representing Hawai'i.
They are planning a parade for them and the World Champion Little League team.
Why hmmmmm? Do you take issue with Phelps picking Kellogg's Frosted Flakes over Wheaties? It was reported, IIRC, going into the Olympics that Phelps had an endorsement deal with Kelloggs. (I know that I read it somewhere, likely cnnsi.com)peacock2121 wrote:not Wheaties.

Maybe hmmmmm because a sugar-loaded cereal isn't the best choice for folks whose metabolism doesn't burn through 9,000 calories a day?Appa23 wrote:Why hmmmmm? I didn't do the personalized box, but I have picked up a few Wheaties boxes over the years, intending never to actually eat the cereal. They still make me smile too.silvercamaro wrote:In the coolest promotion ever (during the 80s), Wheaties let you put your favorite athlete on a Wheaties box. For about $15, you could send in a person's photo and they would send back a box of Wheaties with the athlete's picture in the right place. It all was ensconced in a rather nice acrylic case for safe-keeping. I sent in one of Adventure Boy's childhood race pictures.
We still have the box. It still makes me smile.
I heard he was also going to be Corn Flakes boxes for those who don't require added sweetness.SportsFan68 wrote:silvercamaro wrote: If Phelps were on a Wheaties box, I'd get it. Sugar frosted flakes, not so much.
And his mom has an official wardrobe collection you can buy at Chico's women's apparel shops.gotribego26 wrote:I heard he was also going to be Corn Flakes boxes for those who don't require added sweetness.silvercamaro wrote: If Phelps were on a Wheaties box, I'd get it. I know Chico's has a catalogue, but is it the store that has weird sizes? I could be wrong about this, but I went into a store and it only had Size 1-3. But not what you would normal say was size 1-3. It was confusing and I left.TheConfessor wrote:And his mom has an official wardrobe collection you can buy at Chico's women's apparel shops.gotribego26 wrote:I heard he was also going to be Corn Flakes boxes for those who don't require added sweetness.silvercamaro wrote: If Phelps were on a Wheaties box, I'd get it. EDIT: Looks like I quoted tribe quoting silvercamaro as saying something she didn't actually say. If anyone is offended, we can probably straighten out who said what.
That's probably true, but it's more likely that he eats Frosted Flakes than Wheatie.MarleysGh0st wrote:Maybe hmmmmm because a sugar-loaded cereal isn't the best choice for folks whose metabolism doesn't burn through 9,000 calories a day?Appa23 wrote:Why hmmmmm? Yes, they have strange sizes. One of my friends, a big girl, likes the fact that she can go in an be a size 3.christie1111 wrote:

Yes, that is the store, I went in once trying to buy a gift because it's my aunt's favorite store. And I was trying to figure out what her size would be and even the sales people were weird about it, they didn't want to talk about normal sizes, they just kept asking if I knew what "Chico size" she was or if she had a Chico's card so that we could try to pull up previous purchases. Too weird for me, I bought her a necklace and left!christie1111 wrote:I know Chico's has a catalogue, but is it the store that has weird sizes? And how is it going Confessor?
That's the place. Here's how their sizing works. I assume it's their own special sales gimmick.christie1111 wrote: I know Chico's has a catalogue, but is it the store that has weird sizes? Hubby heard that Phelps would be on the cornflakes box, so checked at WallyWorld yesterday. LeeAnn Rimes (country singer) was on the box. Will check again or check out the Frosted Flakes (waaayyy too much sugar!).sunflower wrote:Do they usually put people on a corn flakes box? I only buy them at Christmas but if memory serves correctly, it's usually just a rooster?
2.5 hours down, 5 hours still to go.christie1111 wrote:And how is it going Confessor?
A 3/4 cup serving of Frosted Flakes has 11 g. of sugars (out of 27 g. of total carbohydrates).themanintheseersuckersuit wrote:How does the quantity of sugar in Frosted Flakes compare to a PowerBar? What's in Gatorade anyway?
