Huh? Bryan Clay won the 2008 Olympic decathlon. He was nowhere near the 1996 Olympics.

Why hmmmmm? Do you take issue with Phelps picking Kellogg's Frosted Flakes over Wheaties? It was reported, IIRC, going into the Olympics that Phelps had an endorsement deal with Kelloggs. (I know that I read it somewhere, likely cnnsi.com)

In the coolest promotion ever (during the 80s), Wheaties let you put your favorite athlete on a Wheaties box. For about $15, you could send in a person's photo and they would send back a box of Wheaties with the athlete's picture in the right place. It all was ensconced in a rather nice acrylic case for safe-keeping. I sent in one of Adventure Boy's childhood race pictures.

We still have the box. It still makes me smile.

I didn't do the personalized box, but I have picked up a few Wheaties boxes over the years, intending never to actually eat the cereal. They still make me smile too.

If Phelps were on a Wheaties box, I'd get it. Sugar frosted flakes, not so much.

I know Chico's has a catalogue, but is it the store that has weird sizes? I could be wrong about this, but I went into a store and it only had Size 1-3. But not what you would normal say was size 1-3. It was confusing and I left.

That's probably true, but it's more likely that he eats Frosted Flakes than Wheatie.

Yes, they have strange sizes. One of my friends, a big girl, likes the fact that she can go in an be a size 3.

Yes, that is the store, I went in once trying to buy a gift because it's my aunt's favorite store. And I was trying to figure out what her size would be and even the sales people were weird about it, they didn't want to talk about normal sizes, they just kept asking if I knew what "Chico size" she was or if she had a Chico's card so that we could try to pull up previous purchases. Too weird for me, I bought her a necklace and left!

Hubby heard that Phelps would be on the cornflakes box, so checked at WallyWorld yesterday. LeeAnn Rimes (country singer) was on the box. Will check again or check out the Frosted Flakes (waaayyy too much sugar!).

A PowerBar Performance bar has 24 g. of sugars (out of 43 g. of carbs.).

Gatorade has 14 g. of sugars (and no other carbs) in an 8 oz. serving.


I'm not sure what you're comparing with those two choices, but if you're talking about cereal, 3/4 cup of Wheaties has 4 g. of sugars (out of 22 g. of total carbs.).

The olympians were/are also promoting McDonalds for healthy eating. Something about chicken for breakfast.

Not that I don't think you can make sound food choices at McDonalds, I do think you can.
