I paid the price for laborin'

While IRONING my dinner room curtains, the plastic mustard container fell off the table next to the ironing board. I didn't notice it until I finished ironing. I cleaned it up, but this morning in brighter light I noticed a BIG STAIN on my linoleum.

Lesson learned. No more fancy chores on Labor Day.

I'm going back to watching Jerry Lewis.

Or some Bravo marathon.

Try soft scrub? That always seems to get everything out for me.

Thanks for the tip!

While researching this, I found out that mustard has a spice called turmeric which apparently is a DYE ...

Ok, now I'm ready for the $50,000 question.

Not good. Of all the tests we did on paint, the worst was mustard. The combination of vinegar (acid) and tumeric (yellow) is really bad.

Test an area near the stain. And use something with bleach. Clorox kitchen cleaner with bleach is one of the better choices. The only problem will be possible fading due to the bleach.

If you can leave it on for a bit, it will be better.

What the hell kinda 'and therefore' is that? Not one that would come from someone interested in organizational skills, I am sure.

How about:

- I will watch what I am doing from now on?

- mustard belongs in the fridge?

- I will do a complete clean up from now on?

There are so many other lessons you could have learned than "Next time - be lazy"

Any luck on the stain?
