Something changed with the Google and I hate it and I want my old google back.

Say I want to search for "American Flag"-as I type Am-all sorts of things of come up-probably based on most popular-it used to be only "Am" searches that I have done come up=

I ABSOLUTELY HATE this and how do I get my google back?

When I type in "Am", I get a divided box. The upper part has search terms that I remember using, and is labelled "History", while the lower part has search terms that I did not enter, and is labelled "Suggestions". At the bottom is a link labelled "Clear History". When I type in just "A", the entire box is History, but as I add additional letters, the History shrinks down and Suggestions bubble up.

Did you recently clear your history either using the link provided or via the "Delete Browsing History" window? If so, you would have no History and the entire box would be filled with Suggestions.

I actually like it - it corrects my spelling sometimes - or finishes a word I am not sure how to spell. I also like that it gives me suggestions on the rest of the search.

I always search from the Google Toolbar so don't get that. For some time now it's been giving me suggestions which I love.

I went to the main Google page to see what you're getting and don't like the way they implemented that.

I too prefer the old Google.

It doesn't bring up searches I've already done -- it brings up suggestions that it thinks might work for what I started. I just keep typing what I really want, and eventually it goes away.

I'll look in on Fly's suggestion in a minute.
