This one happened while I was gone but it's an interesting trivia note.

Crane did mostly voiceover and radio work but his first film role (he only made two movies his whole life) became a bit of Hollywood history.

Crane played Brent Tarleton, one of the Tarleton twins in Gone with the Wind. He had the first spoken line in the film, mentioning to Scarlett O'Hara that the war was due to start soon, to which she responded "Fiddle dee dee." Crane's "brother" was played by George Bessolo, who became much better known a few years later as Superman George Reeves. Crane was hired because of his distinctive Southern accent which appealed to the casting director. In his later years, Crane lived in the Atlanta area. He was the last surviving credited male cast member of Gone with the Wind (several female cast members, most notably Olivia di Haviland, still survive).
