I see that you are online, and it reminded me that I wanted to ask if you had seen Persepolis. If you have, what did you think of it?
We weren't here when it was released, so I watched it via Netflix. Per suggestion of a few of the reviewers, I watched the French version (w/ subtitles) vs. the English version. I mainly wanted to see it because of the medium in which it was 'filmed' The subject of the movie wasn't something I was familiar with, but it was interesting nonetheless. It had some very funny parts, as well as some very sad parts.silverscreenselect wrote:No I didn't, sorry.
It played at one of the art houses in town that it takes a bit of an effort to go to and I really didn't see that much about the film that appealed to me.
No, I haven't! I didn't even realize there was a novel (well, you know what I mean) until watching the bonus features where she mentions it. I went ahead and added it to my list of things to read. I'm happy to hear from you that you liked it because it gives me more reason to look forward to it.lilyvonschtupp26 wrote:Cindy,
Did you read the book? or rather graphic novel? I truly enjoyed it. It's right on the edge of what I can have in my school library so I didn't buy it. But read it out of the high school library. really well done.
