Is that McCain's new motto?

Sounds fascist.

Deutschland über alles!

You're mixing your metaphors. Italy was fascist. Germany was nationalist.

What else should the President consider his first priority?

I had to laugh at the point in Obama's speech last night when Obama gave the line "It is not about me, but about you." Right at that point of the speech, the DNC feed gave a shot of "www.barackobama.com" on one of the stadium's electronic scoreboards. Talk about the visual negating the point. :)

That's the way it's supposed to be, but every time a Republican talks about "country" they talk about dying or making other sacrifices for it. What they really mean is doing that for the fat cats.

Maybe United States first or America first or US Leadership or American Leadership.
A lot of the world's problems are caused by the Rogue nations only thinking of themselves first and foremost!

In "Country First" I detect a bit of a joke by a navy man, on the West Point (army) motto "Duty, Honor, Country".

And all the other things probably there and intended.

Except for Bob's original comment, and there is a bit of an unintended similarity, though probably only a bit, as while "Reich" is usually translated as realm, or empire, rather than country, the sense in the infamous Hitler motto is probably closer to "country", or "one country": ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer"

Yes, it's typical right wing claptrap. Conservatives keep coming up with stuff like that, like 'Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.' Have to watch out for that. Anything thinking person knows that the best motto is 'Me First' or 'What's in it for Me?'

Ah, the motto of Dubya's administration. It has a certain lilt to it.
