That's a cymbal next to him, I think. And what looks like a person of African descent holding a cloth or towel.

So a musician, possibly a drummer?

That looks like a cymbal, and it looks like the old guy is holding the hand of a Black man.

From this, I thought it was Henry Adler, the drummer who taught Buddy Rich how to play.

Thanks for saying that it was a cymbal though, that's what got it for me.

You know I thought to myself, I wonder if there is a guy actually named Zildjian or Paiste.

But then some stupid person came into the library and by the time I got done with them it was over.

Darn, wish I'd recognized that thing as a cymbal. Zildjian's company, and family, is in my neck of the woods. They're in the local news several times a year.
