Let us not forget Utah who did likewise a year later and let's not forget that in 1872 the Wyoming legislature passed a bill repealing the suffrage law. The governor vetoed the bill and his veto was upheld by only one vote.Let's have a standing ovation for Wyoming, which got this all taken care of in 1869.
It's about the fifth story down here

Many historians believe that the proposed 1872 repeal in Wyoming was connected to a nearly simultaneous revocation attempt in Utah, which was viewed as an anti-polygamy measure. (Wyoming also had a large number of Mormon residents.) I don't remember all the details of who, what and why.macrae1234 wrote:Let us not forget Utah who did likewise a year later and let's not forget that in 1872 the Wyoming legislature passed a bill repealing the suffrage law. It was simpler than that the men thought the women would close the bars on Sundays and it is not a coincidence that prohibition closely followed women's voting rights'

Utah became only the second state or territory to give women the right to vote, trailing Wyoming by just two months. But it was first in the nation to provide the chance. Just two days after the act was approved, Seraph Young, a niece of Brigham Young, cast her ballot during municipal elections in Salt Lake City to become the first woman in the U.S. legally to vote

Didn't that pretty much apply to ALL the women who voted in Utah at that time?

Lest we forget Harry Burn
The ratification was going to be close
10 states had rejected the amendment
Delaware (rejected on June 2, 1920)
Maryland (rejected on February 24, 1920;)
Virginia (rejected on February 12, 1920)
Alabama (rejected on September 22, 1919)
South Carolina (rejected on January 28, 1920;)
Georgia (being rejected on July 24, 1919)
Louisiana (rejected on July 1, 1920)
Mississippi (rejected on March 29, 1920)
Florida (didn’t hold a vote for 50 years)
North Carolina (rejected on Aug 17 1920 )
Connecticut and Vermont had not yet voted
With thirty-five of the necessary thirty-six states ratifying the amendment, the battle came to Nashville, Tennessee. Anti-suffrage and pro-suffrage forces from around the nation descended on the town. And on August 18, 1920, the final vote was scheduled.
One young legislator, 24 year old Harry Burn, had voted with the anti-suffrage forces to that time. But his mother had urged that he vote for the amendment and for suffrage. When he saw that the vote was very close, and with his anti-suffrage vote would be tied 48 to 48, he decided to vote as his mother had urged him: for the right of women to vote. And so on August 18, 1920, Tennessee became the 36th and deciding state to ratify.
As anti-suffragists had been fighting and preparing for this moment over the summer, they became very enraged when they discovered the news of Burn's decision. After the vote was ratified, angry anti-suffragists chased Burn through the Tennessee Legislature Hall, and Burn was forced to conceal himself for a short time until the tense situation had been diffused
