top o' the mornin'®
I'm beginning to think that elwing and I need to turn our house into a combination laundromat/Internet cafe. Between the two sons who live with us (each with his own computer) and the two who come by to do laundry (and are often using "my" computer) we don't have enough. I think there must be an unwritten rule that you should have at least one more computer in the house than you have family members.

One of my sons' computers is using my wireless. But it's a matter of actual hardware that's the issue - when my two "boomerang" sons are home and one of the brothers is doing laundry and all of them are using computers (I should mention that they are all very much into World of Warcraft) and either elwing or I wants to use one, there's not one available. Yes, we could do the parent thing and pull rank, demanding that whoever is using "our" computer stop.gsabc wrote:Two words: Wireless Internet.earendel wrote:I think there must be an unwritten rule that you should have at least one more computer in the house than you have family members.

Yeah, what's wrong with that?earendel wrote:Yes, we could do the parent thing and pull rank, demanding that whoever is using "our" computer stop.
If they bring their laundry, they can bring their own laptop, too!
Speaking of WoW...what do you think of it?

Heck, they can't even manage to bring their own laundry soap.MarleysGh0st wrote:Yeah, what's wrong with that?earendel wrote:Yes, we could do the parent thing and pull rank, demanding that whoever is using "our" computer stop.

But seriously, they don't have their own computer, which is why they are using ours.
I think it is a colossal waste of time and money. I've tried my hand at it (when my second son got it for Christmas three years ago I used his account and created a character) but was singularly unimpressed. I suppose it's all in what one is looking for in a game, though.MarleysGh0st wrote: Speaking of WoW...what do you think of it?

It sounds like they need to learn to be responsible.earendel wrote:

Having them buy their own soap would be a good first step.

I still hate that 2x stuff. It just feels as though I am not getting my money's worth of detergent.littlebeast13 wrote:PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:It sounds like they need to learn to be responsible.earendel wrote:

I have about four bottles of the regular Tide with bleach in a non-concentrated size left in my stash.

Because they don't have their own washer or dryer and are not solvent enough to afford a real laundromat. I don't mind the laundry part.Appa23 wrote:I thought that one of your sons was married?
Why is he doing laundry at your house?
