WWTBAM Bored

Last Thursday, around the time I put in my prayer and good thought request for my mom, the folks at the care center got her dressed and had her sit up in her wheelchair all day.

She got a lot more engaged with what's going on around her.

Saturday, we offered to wheel her out of her room to the sunny area of the center. Before she went, she combed her hair and put on lipstick.

She is eating at least 75% of what's offered her.

She is smiling, talking and taking part in conversations. Someone not well-acquainted with her would think she's a nice old lady who happens to be stuck in a wheelchair for a while.

The Physical Therapy people say she is doing everything they ask, and making good progress.

We got her back, now she's got to get better.

This prayer and good thought stuff? Sometimes, you can tell how it works.

Hooray! I hope now she knows that you aren't just parking her there, and when she gets better, she can leave if she wants.

My m-i-l had such a ball at the rehab center, she's looking to sell her condo and move into Senior Living apartments for the social life. She's 68 going on 99....
