Now that's strange.

I was curious to know who lurked behind this particular Merry Man so I checked the IP address from which it was posted. (Moderators can do that.) I discovered that 31 other posts were made from that address by the person whom I assume is the person behind the mask.

However, that same address (an AOL proxy) has also been used for one or two posts by three other BBs, and I am fairly confident that at least one, and likely two, of them have never met my "suspect."

Nothing nefarious about any of this, of course. I just found it surprising. --Bob

AOL uses random IPO addresses (within some numerical range) for its subscribers. Any single AOL member may display different IPO addresses depending, by chance, on when he or she signs on. If Carmello displayed the same IPO address on each of "his" posts, that would be highly unusual.

Since my posts go through an AOL server, I may be included among your "suspects," although I would presume that my normal disinterest in professional basketball would make me one of the less likely ones.
